Company-internal courses and theme days, workshops, and processes

"The workplace of the future is right here – and we are the culture" – processes for organizations seeking to thrive in change.

With a comprehensive understanding, I, as an organizational psychologist, contribute through lectures, courses, and practical processes with practically-oriented and scientifically grounded inspiration and knowledge to create sustainable leadership, followership, communication, and collaboration – for cohesive and well-being-oriented organizations, always with humor and a twinkle in the eye.

I tailor change and well-being processes for the purpose. It could be an inspiration or theme day, a week, or a longer program spanning from six months to a year.

The content may include topics such as change psychology in theory and practice, establishment or restoration of professional learning communities, awareness and adjustment of existing limiting assumptions, innovation and creativity, a constructive mental work environment, application of positive psychology in a well-being-oriented work life, stress prevention, support, and inspiration to create more cohesive structures and a sense of purpose in the organization.

Theme: Change and well-being along with conflict-resolution communication

"We hired Helen to facilitate a one-day workshop for our design department. The theme for the day was 'Change and Well-being along with Conflict-Resolution Communication.' We hoped for an entertaining and informative day, and both expectations were fully met. Helen's humorous approach to the topic brought smiles to our faces, and the fun, interactive exercises incorporated made us all laugh and loosen up. We were introduced to Helen's self-developed transformation model, where, through group work, we translated many of our unconscious and unhelpful assumptions about change into conscious and practical guiding principles. With these as monthly focus areas, we have been able to easily start working on the culture within the department. I highly recommend Helen to anyone who finds overcoming change challenging and desires practical, easily applicable tools presented in a warm and entertaining manner."

Allan Hauge Pedersen, Design Manager, Ambercon.

Theme: The Psychology behind motivating the unmotivated

"We teach leaders of public institutions at the master's level. At one point, one of our groups requested coverage of a problem many institution leaders face, namely a group of demotivated employees who have lost their enthusiasm. We spoke to Helen about the possibility of her covering the topic. She did so with flying colors.
Helen's approach to the topic was that a lack of motivation could be due to quite different circumstances, and the way to address the demotivated individuals depended entirely on the cause. Some lose motivation because they no longer master their tasks; others feel fundamentally unfairly treated by the "system"; yet others experience that all the values they have stood for, and that have given meaning to their work, are being discarded.
Helen delivered exactly what we had agreed upon and expected; but more importantly, our participants came out of the session with Helen with a range of directly applicable tools and valuable advice."

Theme day: Change Psychology and mindfulness

"Helen Eriksen conducted an exceptionally inspiring theme day on change psychology and mindfulness for about 50 employees in Aalborg Municipality. Helen adeptly brings subjects that can be quite complex down to a level where everyone can participate, regardless of gender, profession, and age. She is an inspiring speaker who can translate a complicated topic into easy and tangible tools for use in a busy everyday life – tools that can be applied both in a work-related context and in private life.

In a department with many strong individuals, there is often a fast pace, and the work culture is influenced by the fact that we, as colleagues, have a significant impact on each other, both positively and negatively. The theme day with Helen has created an awareness of this culture and how we, as colleagues, can create space to change this culture in the best possible way.
Helen is not only professionally competent – she also radiates a vibrant energy that captivates the entire audience. Helen is undoubtedly recommendable. Thanks for a good and inspiring day."

Grith Larsen Kvist, Social Worker, Socialcenter Ung, Aalborg Kommune.

Theme Day: Development of resilience

"We are a residential facility for individuals with challenging behavior, and as an employee, it is required that you are able to take care of your own health and general well-being.

To strengthen the well-being of our employees, we had Helen Eriksen teach all staff over two consecutive days about the connections between the body, diet, and psyche – and what an experience :-). Helen is a brilliant communicator of extensive knowledge and insight. With a vibrant, energetic, and humorous approach, Helen manages to make otherwise challenging material simple and relevant. ALL employees were engaged – Helen simply has the ability to reach each and every one. Since Helen is incredibly respectful and appreciative while conveying with dynamism, impact, and a humorous and straightforward approach, worthy of a stand-up comedian, an atmosphere of recognition and relevance is created. We feel that we are in the same boat. There is no patronizing or know-it-all attitude, but rather the establishment of a shared space where we all become aware of a multitude of possibilities that we have an influence on.

All employees felt empowered, inspired – and filled with new possibilities for action. Therefore, we give our warmest recommendation to Helen. What knowledge, what communication, what a delight. Give it a try :-)"

Lisbeth Nørgaard, Institutional leader, Botilbuddet Lyngdal, Birkerød.

Two-day seminar at Sandagergaard for teachers at Faaborg–Midtfyn Ungdomsskole.

"In the encounter with special surroundings and special people, we have shifted in our own understanding of ourselves and the reality in which we operate. Sandagergaard provides a perfect setting for a smaller group. The teaching gains something special when you hear the crackling of the fire from the open fireplace in the high-ceilinged room. As guests, you encounter pronounced friendliness and generosity. The food, which is organic and vegetarian, was superbly delicious and well-prepared during our seminar, even the most ardent 'meat eaters' surrendered and enjoyed the meals.

Helen Eriksen taught change psychology and mindfulness. With her pronounced physicality and high energy level, Helen is a brilliant communicator. She manages to convey relatively complex material in a way that makes it easily accessible, and she engages in dialogue with the group in an extremely present and validating manner.

It was an exquisite pleasure. Warm recommendations from here."

Henrik Karup, Pedagogical Deputy Head Faaborg–Midtfyn Ungdomsskole

"Dear Helen

So, I woke up this morning to sunshine and feeling more fresh and rested than I have in a long time. I have no doubt that it's thanks to your lovely positive energy and fantastic mindfulness exercises yesterday. As I mentioned yesterday, it was a super staff day in every way. You met all expectations. Thank you for your presence and your total presence. You really came through with your message."
